At the start of her career she was an associate in a large corporate law department and then transitioned to an in-house position as Corporation Counsel and Vice President to a privately-held, national company.
Since opening her private practice over a decade ago, she continues to focus on business and corporate matters frequently acting as a company’s trusted “go to” outside general counsel advising clients on a multitude of issues that arise in today’s increasingly complex business environments. In addition to her broad business and legal background, she brings extensive regulatory expertise to proactively advising clients on compliance issues, assessing and managing risks, including privacy and security mandates under various state, federal and international laws impacting their operations. Often serving chief compliance officer and corporation counsel to a number of highly-regulated companies, including nationally-based IT companies, software developers, regional healthcare providers and others. She enjoys working with start-ups, as well as more seasoned entrepreneurs and CEOs, helping clients navigate to successful outcomes.
She also brings several years of experience at top, national litigation firms during law school and her work as Attorney/Trial Referee for state and federal district courts over the past decade to helping clients achieve the most cost-effective, practical results when disputes arise.
She also really enjoys working with individual clients helping them with important personal matters such as estate planning, probate, real estate and private dispute resolution and mediation services.
Outside her law practice, she’s very involved in the community and strongly believes in the importance of giving back serving for over a decade as president of a local non-profit, member and chairman of Simsbury Zoning Board of Appeals and holding advisory positions on a number of private boards and foundations.
She’s received top ratings from clients on AVVO, Linkedin and Martindale Hubbell.
